The CEPC recently facilitated its fifth annual health coaching training for first year students in the UCSF School of Medicine. On August 26 and 29, as part of the UCSF Bridges Curriculum, 155 students were introduced to the core health coaching skills that comprise the CEPC health coaching curriculum. The Center for Excellence in Primary Care is facilitating our first-ever open enrollment health coach training from August 16-17, featuring participants from various organizations around the country. The training, based in San Francisco, CA, addresses a patient-centered process that promotes longitudinal, relationship-based interactions with patients to engage them in their own care. Health coaching helps patients build the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to manage their chronic conditions and improve their health.
