CEPC joins HRSA/SPNS’s “System-level Workforce Capacity Building for Integrating HIV Primary Care in Community Healthcare Settings”

Sarah Colvario and Dr. Steve Bromer of Center for Excellence in Primary Care (CEPC) are joining with Center for AIDS Prevention Studies to deliver Evaluation and Technical Assistance for this HRSA (Human Resources Services Administration) -funded initiative: “System-level Workforce Capacity Building for Integrating HIV Primary Care in Community Healthcare Settings.” The kickoff grantee meeting is October 16 and 17, 2014 in Washington DC and included presentations by both Sarah and Steve.

The two-day meeting and demonstration project will look at transformations that will occur at the juncture of HIV and Primary Care, using the 10 Building Blocks model of High Performing Primary Care model. Each site has a unique approach to transforming the care that is delivered to patients living with HIV, and the project will support the implementation and evaluation of the individual models over the 4 years of grant funding. The 15 sites are located across the country in New York (3), Pennsylvania, Cleveland, Chicago (2), Florida (3), District of Columbia, Texas (2), and San Diego, CA (2) and all sites will collaborate with their local AIDS Education Training Center.
