CEPC and CCI Webinar: Patient Advisory Councils

Webinar

Please join us on Thursday, February 16, at 12pm PT for a webinar on the nuts and bolts of building patient advisory councils from scratch! This webinar features Lucia Angel, patient experience team lead for San Francisco Health Network.

How many patients should I recruit? Should I offer stipends? What makes an advisory council successful? This webinar will respond to these questions and more from our introductory session on Using Patient Voices to Improve Your Organization.

Hosted in partnership with the UCSF Center for Excellence in Primary Care, and with support from Blue Shield of California Foundation, this webinar is part of an ongoing series on patient engagement, which follows on the success of our Care Integration series.

About the Speaker

In 2011, Lucia launched a patient advisory council at the Zuckerberg San Francisco Public Hospital's Family Health Center, a large multilingual public health primary care clinic. She now leads the Patient Advisory Council Collaborative, an initiative to start or support advisory councils at all 14 of the primary care clinics in the San Francisco Health Network. Lucia will share best practices for starting councils from the ground up. Check out Lucia’s Patient Liaison Handbook, a guide for recruiting, training, and engaging patients to serve as advisors on a patient advisory board—an excellent resource for getting your council started!
